Stuart is an Australian who has been involved with export from Hong Kong and China for more than 16 years.

As a fresh marketing graduate from New Zealand, he couldn’t wait to get back to Hong Kong where he had grown up as a child (between early ‘70s and early ‘80s), and found himself working for a busy trading company exporting to France.

He took on his own projects and quickly found himself exporting to France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Finland, Australia and New Zealand – almost anything that was related to promotional merchandise including sports bags, caps, watches, radios, packaging, badges, garments…even container loads of coaxial cable and oven dishes!

In 1995, Stuart took a sales trip to Australia, which opened his eyes to what Sydney had to offer. As a result, he sold his Hong Kong export company and moved to Sydney, and has been running Giant Promotional Products successfully for 11 years. 

He is a marketer, importer and manufacturer of a wide range of promotional products, and has a client base of blue chip companies in Sydney and throughout Australia.

As someone who has been involved with manufacturing in China continuously over the last 16 years, Stuart has noticed many changes and also many things that have stayed the same.

Chinese factories in general still display a lack of customer focus, making customers have to work hard to get what they need, as they expect it, and on time. This was a perfect opportunity for someone who has stood on both sides of the fence – as a manufacturer, supplier, customer and importer to offer a turnkey solution to US importers who demand lowest prices plus a high level of service.
